Q: WHAT'S SOMETHING THAT EVERYONE IS ALWAYS SHOCKED BY WHEN THEY GET TO KNOW YOU?
A: I was a Competitive Jump Roper growing up from the age of 5 until my mid-twenties. I traveled the USA for competitions, AAU Junior Olympics, and USA Nationals. I was also on America’s Got Talent.
Q: WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE THING TO EAT FOR BREAKFAST?
A: TWO Eggo Waffles topped with Peanut Butter, Fruit, and Honey.
Q: WHAT ARE YOUR ABSOLUTE FAVORITE STORES AT THE MALL?
A: Lululemon, Home Goods, Free People, Madewell and WEGMAN’s!
Q: DO YOU HAVE TATTOOS?
A: Yep! I have one on my right forearm. My sister and momma have the same tattoo. “I am because you are” My mom actually wrote it out, so it’s in her handwriting. I am able to look at this every day and it reminds me how lucky I really am.

A: SHE DANCES WHERE EVER and WHENEVER, but be careful because she will make you do it too, without you even knowing you are.
Friends! My name is Shelby Ruth aka Shelbs! I am the Creator of ShelbSpeaks, as well as the Founder of projectRIDE. ShelbSpeaks is an inspirational space to connect to every individual who crosses my path, so they can evolve into better versions of themselves. It doesn’t matter where you came from, doesn’t matter what story you had to be the main character in the past, what matters is that you survived 110% of your good and bad days to make it here! When you start consistently working on getting uncomfortable by writing your own story, it will all get easier! THIS is when you will start to see SUCCESS.
My purpose in life is to empower individuals to become better and stronger versions of themselves every single day. No matter where you are at in your journey, THIS is exactly where you’re supposed to be. Therefore, I am here to be your biggest advocate, inspiring you to rewrite your story with achieving YOUR health & fitness goals! It is time to put your game face on and LET’S MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!
Due to having an athletic background, I don’t have any transformation pictures of weight loss, but I do have experiences that I will share with you of becoming healthier through nutrition and my daily lifestyle! From a very young age, I was a competitive Jump Roper, Travel Soccer Player, & Track Athlete. I always give 110% being present! Continually, keeping up with this lifestyle, I was tired and I was stretched so thin that I lost myself. Becoming an ELITE Ambassador, teaching so many classes, and running a Group Fitness program has completely changed my life.
A blessing in disguise dropped right in my lap, an opportunity approached me that changed my life for the better! I learned so much about myself physically, mentally, and emotionally! THIS IS WHERE my story evolves, continually growing, and NOW YOU GET TO BE a PART OF IT!! This is how I do it. I meet people like you!

projectRIDE is my passion and purpose because I get to build relationships with people LIKE YOU! It’s authentically connecting with the community through the comfort of our own homes. It is being able to show up for YOU ALL. When I show up on my end regardless of what mountain I am assigned, no matter what obstacle I have to overcome, no matter what I’m feeling, it ultimately gives you all permission to do the same and MOVE MOUNTAINS! From the experiences I have gained, I trust that you all are so much stronger than you think you are. YOU JUST have to trust in yourself! The MOST rewarding part of this chapter in my life is telling you all to fall in love with space between who you are and whom you want to be. I’ll be there every step of the way to cheer you on.
